Hajj Yatra 2024 : Hajj pilgrimage is starting from 14th June, but before that Saudi Arabia has taken a big decision. It has expelled more than 3 lakh people from Mecca. It was told that they did not have registration for Hajj. According to Saudi Press Agency, 1,53,998 such foreigners have been expelled from Grand Mosque and Kaaba. They had tourist visa instead of Hajj visa. At the same time, Saudi authorities have detained 1,71,587 people, who have been detained, they are residents of Saudi Arabia, but were not residents of Mecca and had come to Mecca without Hajj permit, hence action has been taken against them.

That’s why Saudi police launched a campaign
On Saturday, Saudi officials said that in view of the crowd, the administration had already banned people from coming without Hajj permit, advisory was also issued regarding this, but even after this people came here without Hajj permit. Therefore, the police conducted an operation on Saturday to remove unauthorized pilgrims from Mecca. Last year 18 lakh people came for Hajj, this year this number can reach 19 to 20 lakhs. Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdul Aziz has asked all pilgrims to strictly follow the guidelines. He has declared Hajj pilgrimage without permit as illegal.

20 lakh people are expected to arrive
Hajj is starting this week from 14th June. People coming without registration causes crowd and due to this sometimes accidents also happen. In 2015, about 2,300 people were killed in a stampede during the ritual of stoning the devil, so the administration is not giving entry to people without Hajj permit. Mecca officials said that till Saturday more than 13 lakh registered Hajj pilgrims had reached Saudi Arabia. This number can reach close to 20 lakh.
